Welcome! Our room is available! Very safe and quiet neighbourhood -also nearly downtown Victoria and just a 10 minute bus ride from many of the language schools, on bus route to UVic, and walking distance to stores, local cafes and services. This is a very clean, comfortable, downstairs bedroom with twin bed. You would share the downstairs kitchen and bathroom (2 sinks so you get your own), with one other student, female.
The kitchenette downstairs, has the number of appliances, including a hot plate, but please note it doesn’t have a full stove. Airfryer, coffee maker, kettle, microwave. If you wanted to bake, you could come upstairs. There’s also a fridge and a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender.

Your private room is downstairs also with downstairs entrance. And this means quite a bit more independence than with many other homestays so some maturity is required.
Everything is included!
We have a dog but you don’t see her as she stays upstairs and is very sweet.
If you like to stream you could have a tv in your room.

I’m a Mom who is a working professional in my daytime work and Mom to 1 teenager, half-time (but she is only upstairs and 1 other teen left home already to go to university!) We have been hosting international people from around the world for 10 years and understand the challenges of living in a new culture.
This is a safe neighbourhood- fantastic location! Which is very close to downtown (20 minute walk or 10 minute bus ride), where several language schools are located-
1 block to bus and local’s favourite cafe, bakery and take out, 3 blocks from the ocean harbour and very close to grocery and health services.
There is a clothes washer and tumble dryer for your use.
You will need to be able to clean up your dishes, and do your laundry which is downstairs.
Though if you need something, I am often at home here (I work at home) and happy to support you.

A little more about the neighborhood: We are just about 2 km from downtown Victoria, and the inner Harbor. But at the same time it’s very quiet neighborhood, where people walk a lot, are friendly and where we know our neighbours. There is a cafe where all the locals go and a bakery also - 1 block away. There are grocery stores in walking distance and take out restaurants, Tai and Japanese as well as healthy and pizza places. We are 3 blocks from the ocean, with a schoolyard in the back so fresh air from the ocean and the trees and and the birds sing in the morning, it’s almost like a bird sanctuary. If you like you can garden as we have a large yard ir throw the ball for the dog if you like. The bus is very close by, there is one that goes to the university within two blocks, and it also goes downtown. We have a bike trails on both sides and both within two blocks. These trails go everywhere in town and the bike trails in Victoria downtown
are excellent. I work at home most of the time.
Ideally would come home not too late at night.
